Oakland International

On behalf of Oakland International, Wind Direct is proposing to develop a Wind Energy Scheme, which would provide a clean, green source of renewable energy to be used directly in Oakland International Ltd operations.

For Oakland International, this green initiative is the next logical phase of ecological and environmental change undertaken over a period of 10 years. Each and every one of us can make a difference and at Oakland we plan to continue to do just that. With your help we can reduce our carbon-heavy energy consumption needs and replace it with clean, carbon-free, sustainable wind energy.

An application for the development had been due to be submitted in November 2008, however following consultation with Bromsgrove District Council and Natural England, Wind Direct has agreed to delay this submission pending further ecological surveys. 

Public Consultation

The period of public consultation ended on 12th September 2008, however there will be a further opportunity for you to comment on the final proposals once the planning application has been submitted.
